OEL (Organizzazione Ecosostenibile Laziale) is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of hemp cultivation and processing for industrial purposes in Lazio.
Industrial hemp is a versatile resource that offers many opportunities, from the production of textile fibers to the creation of sustainable building materials. OEL plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and collaboration among the various actors in the hemp supply chain, promoting the responsible and sustainable use of this natural resource.
HENRY & CO. conducted an in-depth research on the industrial hemp sector, including competition and design trends in the agricultural field.
The distinctive characteristics of OEL and its mission were analyzed to fully understand the organization and develop an authentic brand image. Based on the information collected, HENRY & CO. collaborated with OEL’s team to define the core values and brand identity of the organization. This process provided a solid foundation for the subsequent development of the logo and branding guidelines.
HENRY & CO. finally designed OEL’s brand identity based on its core business: the cultivation and processing of hemp for industrial purposes.
The graphic development elevated the pictogram to the protagonist, integrating it into the abbreviated logotype “OEL,” acronym of the organization’s extended name. To avoid redundancy and the stigma associated with the seven-pointed leaf symbol, HENRY & CO. designers opted for a sprout of a natural and generic leaf, shifting the focus from hemp to cultivation in general, thus eliminating any form of prejudice. The serif font adopted mixes elegance and modernity, thanks to its softened and airy serifs.
To complete the presentation of the initiative, HENRY & CO. created the OEL single-page website. The site appears as a simple and modern pitch, making use of clean and simple icons and graphic elements, capable of facilitating content comprehension and highlighting the topics covered.
The website design was conceived to capture users’ attention and convey the essence of the organization through the use of visual elements referring to industrial hemp, such as natural colors, images of crops, and textures related to the hemp fiber.
HENRY & CO. developed the content with SEO optimization techniques to improve visibility of the website on search engines. Thanks to the optimization work, OEL obtained a successful website that effectively represents the organization and promotes the importance of industrial hemp in Lazio.
