Bees are in danger... And so we are

For years, the scientific community has been drawing attention to the sensitive issue of bees. In recent years, an average of 20 per cent of bees have disappeared in Europe alone, with peaks of 50 per cent in some areas.

Neavita, producer of herbal teas, infusions and teas for over 30 years, joined Mielizia, the historical brand of CONAPI, Italian “Consorzio Nazionale Apicoltori”, the first producer of organic honey in Europe.

Bee Vita co-branding project stems from a common desire to think of the Planet with organic products in sustainable packaging, reminding us of the importance of preserving the richness of biodiversity.

Why Bee Vita packaging is sustainable

For the boxes, sustainable single-material packaging was developed in FSC uncoated paper, in harmony and synergy with the contained products.

For the layout of the sustainable packaging, a communicative style was chosen in which the illustration is characterised by soft lines and irregular strokes, with pastel colours that recall the styles of nature.

The informative language provides information on the dramatic situation of bees, reminding the consumer how precious they are.

The box is equipped with environmental labelling in anticipation of the regulation making it mandatory from January 2022. Each element inside can be collected separately, while a bee-shaped card can be planted to trigger the virtuous circle again – flower, herbal tea, bee, honey. The consumer is thus also actively involved in the mission of protecting and enhancing biodiversity.
