SDGs
For years, the scientific community has focused on the delicate issue of bees. These small insects are indeed in great danger.
In recent years, alone in Europe, an average of 20% of bees have disappeared with peaks of 50% in some areas. The multiple causes stem from intensive agriculture and the resulting massive use of agrochemicals, the intentional and non-intentional introduction of invasive exotic species and finally, global climate change.
The threat bees face affects us all, as more than 80% of the global food production, including fruits and vegetables—the basic ingredients of herbal teas—depends on bees.
For this reason, the values of Neavita, producer of herbal teas, infusions, and teas for over 30 years, could only align and complement Mielizia, Mielizia, the historic brand of CONAPI, National Beekeepers Consortium, Europe’s leading producer of organic honey.
Aware of the fundamental role of bees in the ecosystem, through HENRY & CO., the two companies joined forces in a co-branding project to raise awareness on the importance of these small creatures with the Bee Vita project.
This line was born from the common desire to think about the Planet with organic products in sustainable packaging, reminding us of the importance of preserving the richness of biodiversity and its contributors such as bees and flowers.
Bee Vita consists of three different boxes:
– Bee Loved composed of Red Orange Infusion and Organic Clementine Honey
– Bee Life composed of Organic Sweet Dreams Infusion and Organic Linden Honey
– Bee Happy with Mint, Anise, Ginger Infusion, and Organic Sulla Honey

For the boxes, a sustainable monomaterial packaging was developed in FSC paper, uncoated, which, in harmony and synergy with the products contained within, conveys a message of environmental awareness and responsibility to the consumer.
For the sustainable packaging layout, a communication style was chosen where the illustration is characterized by soft lines and irregular strokes, with pastel colors capable of evoking the patterns of nature.
A design that not only aims at aesthetic performance but also acts as an informative language. The box is decorated with various phrases providing information on the dramatic situation of bees, reminding the consumer how precious they are.
The package features environmental labeling, ahead of the regulations making it mandatory starting January 2022. Every component inside can be sorted for recycling, and a bee-shaped card can be planted to restart the virtuous circle: flower, tea, bee, honey. The consumer is thus actively involved in the mission to protect and enhance biodiversity.
