On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2019, HENRY & CO. developed a lighting project that involves multiple clients and sustainability projects in a collective effort of sustainable design. The goal of the collaboration is the creation of a design icon capable of combining technology, innovation, and sustainability. For this reason, HENRY & CO. involved HIKARI, a company specialized in LED lighting, and Verona FabLab in the creation of the prototype, also using materials sourced from the recovery of Wascoffee coffee.

The idea of an arc table lamp is an example of sustainable design that aims to pay homage to Italian style and architecture, with its perfectly rounded arch. The arc shape, created by VeronaFabLab through additive manufacturing (thus eliminating any production waste), is not solely aesthetic: powering on, dimming, and off are controlled not by switches but by waving the hand inside the arch itself. This is made possible by HIKARI technology, which through an integrated sensor in the lighting body can precisely and flexibly manage the LEDs that compose the lamp.

Finally, the cover aims to further pay tribute to Italian ingenuity in industrial innovation. To create it, Wascoffee material—made for Autogrill from recycled coffee grounds—was used.
